History ©KeKma-Audit
and Its Founder
©KeKma-Audit began in year 2000 as Hylton
Associates Ltd. (UK) to offer solutions for capturing,
securing, measuring and assessing Business Knowledge. In 2002 Hylton
Associates became KeKma Ltd., by which time its founder and
director, Dr Ann Hylton, had completed the design and development of
the core product of the company, the ©KeKma-Audit, which is now a
world recognised Knowledge Audit Methodology, System, Tool and
Solution. The core competency of the business revolves around this
base product, the ©KeKma-Audit, (Knowledge Auditing services) and
the Training, Research and Consultancy that is aligned to it.
In 2008, Dr
Hylton changed her business model and longer operates as a limited
liability company, but now as a New Economy Global
Business, working with Partners, Associates and Agents to meet
the customer's wider KM needs. All business is now operated
under her branded product name of ©KeKma-Audit. One clear advantage
to customers of the new business model is that Dr Hylton is able to
be more flexible concerning costs and fees, making the ©KeKma-Audit
services and training more affordable to a wider range of customers,
worldwide.

The Knowledge Audit, also
known as the Knowledge Management Audit or K-Audit, is the
first major step and process of a Knowledge Management (KM)
initiative/program . |
|
The Knowledge Audit
reports on the current knowledge state so that corporate
knowledge can then be efficiently and effectively
managed. |
|
A Knowledge Audit is
vitally and critically important to knowledge
management. |
|
Before you can manage
knowledge (knowledge management) you must know your current
knowledge assets and relevant things about these
assets. |
"You can't
manage what you don't know you have ." And famously, "You can't
manage what you have not measured" |
The
Knowledge Audit serves the above purpose. Hence the need
for the Knowledge Audit. See: Why
the Knowledge Audit
